Michael H. Atkinson, Jr., born on May 13, 1987, to the late Michael Atkinson, Sr. and his mother, Teresa Atkinson Jones, in Raleigh, North Carolina, is the youngest of two siblings. He graduated from North Carolina A&T State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Geomatics Engineering. In 2023, he earned his Master’s degree in Construction Management from Western Carolina University. Michael is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education at Tennessee State University and serves as a Professor of Construction Management at Wake Technical Community College.
Michael’s favorite scripture is Psalm 20:7 — “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord our God!”
Nichole C. Atkinson is married to Pastor Michael Atkinson. They’ve been married for 6 years. Nichole was raised in Middlesex, NC where she was taught the value of love, respect, and hard-work. Nichole is the youngest child of ten siblings and understands the true meaning of humble beginnings. Raised by two Christian parents Nichole embodies the love of Christ in her daily activities.
Nichole has committed her life to serving others through her profession and call to ministry. Nichole was licensed to preached the gospel in 2010 and ordained in 2026 as a Reverend. Nichole is passionate about empowering ladies through the taught word of God, fellowship, and shared testimony. Nichole has faithfully served as a dedicated and faithful member of Vaughn’s Chapel Church in Elm City, NC for 21 years and recently began working in ministry with Michael at FMBC in January of 2026.
Nichole’s favorite scripture is Roman 8:28 which reads, “For we know all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and have been called according to His purpose.”
